I was surprised to find the cheapest price for this part on Sears. After watching a youtube video on replacing the thermostat, it was a quick and easy swap. Take the knob off the old thermostat, remove 1 screw from the cover, unplugging 3 wires from the old thermostat, remove old thermostat and sensor wire, take off plastic protective sheath. Reassemble in reverse with new thermostat. I did have to bend the ground wire tab on the new thermostat slightly to get it to fit in its cradle properly. Still waiting for mom to get back to us to see if her food is still freezing.
