Reviews
Fairly easy to install
Replacement of the auger was pretty straightforward. Take the ice bucket apart, remove and replace the auger, then reassemble the ice bucket in reverse order. I like the new auger, as it has a brushed metal finish which looks like it's more durable, unlike the original which was chrome plated. The plating came off and allowed the exposed metal to rust, dirtying the ice. One word of caution. When disassembling the ice bucket, there is a long actuating rod of some kind which has a spring on it. Make note of how that spring is oriented before you take it apart. I tried several different ways of reassembling it before I figured out how to keep the spring from popping loose after it was all back together. I guess it's right, everything seems to work okay. Good luck!
