Part Information
GE water filter (part number MWF) has NSF certifications 42 and 53; it reduces lead, cysts and chlorine taste and odor.
Water filter MWF fits select Kenmore side-by-side refrigerators and GE top-freezer, side-by-side and bottom-freezer refrigerators; also fits select GE upright freezers.
Replace every 6 months, or more often if water flow slows noticeably.
Follow the package instructions when you install this water filter.
Water filter MWF replaces earlier filter part numbers 9905, 9951, 9970, 9991, FXRC, GWF, GWF01, GWF06, GWFA, GWFS, HWF, HXRT, MWF, MWFA, MWFP, MWFPA, WR02M3552, WR2M3552, WR97X10006 and WR97X10018.

Water filter for fridge.
As far as I know it works well. Difficult to tell, but my well water tastes fine after going though the filter. Nice to get it regularly, as I would surely forget!

Water filter autoship
Awful service as nowhere online is there a place to cancel the order in the first hour as stated. I had to send it back at my cost for postage even though it said I could cancel it.

Filter replacement
I like getting the filters in advance. I don't use them as fast as I receive them. So if you set up automatic delivery check your timing of delivery.

Wrong filter suggested to me by Sears PartsDirect
I paid for return postage for a mistake made by Sears PartsDirect. I specifically told her in the chat that my filter part # was FXRC but she insisted MWF replaces that even though the picture did not match the FXRC part I am currently using. Waste of my time and money.

Sears has turned a drudgery into a delight.
I really appreciate the reminders. I enjoyed watching my husband installing the filter. I presented him a big glass of healthy water as a reward. He knows I could have installed the filter, but he enjoys pampering me. Life is good.
