Reviews
Easy to install but some care is required
Item works, corrected a slow-to-ignite burners on stove top. Now the burners light at first snap of igniters. Replacement is straightforward. Should take about 20 minutes to replace and test. Although not mechanically difficult, recommend above average skill due to safety issues regarding potential for natural gas fire or explosion. Remember to turn off gas supply before you start. Take care to keep any dirt, stray tape or sealant residue from entering the regulator while installing. Be especially careful if you have to redo the threaded connection to prevent sealant tape residue from falling into the regulator which will render it useless. Remember also, instead of standard white plumbing teflon tape, use the yellow tape rated for gas/petroleum products. Do not use any sealant on flared connections. Swab connections with soapy water to test all gas connection for leaks. Any potential leaks will show up with bubbles. Make sure all leaks are corrected.
