Water filter bypass A13402902 attaches in the water filter head and allows the water to flow to the dispenser and ice maker when the filter has been removed.

The water filter bypass works great with our Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator. It literally is just a water filter cartridge without the filter. Since we have a water filter on our main water feed into the fridge, we don't need a filter in our fridge.

Exactly what was needed

This is perfect when you have a separate filtration system. It minimizes pressure drop, and never has to be replaced. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is cost. You would think a gutless wonder would be cheaper than a real filter, but I guess they charge more because you never replace it. It also keeps people who don't know better from buying it thinking it is a cheap replacement for a filter.
