Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Needed a kludge but it worked

My washer is older so the available part isn't quite the same shape as the original (i.e. the screw hole is in the wrong place) and I had to kludge it into position. You could say it's not pretty, but ultimately my washer doesn't leak water anymore so I'm happy.
