Freezer Temperature Control Thermostat (replaces 216787700) 5304496559

Excellent & affordable OEM replacement thermostat

Economical OEM replacement part that was very simple to install & so far has restored completely my old Kenmore chest freezer, maintaining the temperature between -2 to +2 F. My only criticism is that the part did not have any useful installation instructions: however this was easily found via a simple web search. I would buy this thermostat again.

Chest Freezer temp control replacement

I couldn't get the capillary on the old control out of the tube on my chest freezer. After sleeping on the problem and contemplating my next move i tried again and it came right out, probably frozen in. No problem after that and the control works ok.

part not working, freezer does not shut off

install instructions wrong, old thermostat could not be removed as described (pull out) installed new thermostat alongside old one into freezer, freezer fails to shut off automatically, we are manually turning control knob off - on.
