Missing Piece
The part we received was missing a piece which led to my husband having to take apart the old broken part and reassemble the new part Sears sent us. We were able to make it work and get the dryer running again but it's still not running correctly. Now we aren't sure if it's because we had to MacGyver the part together or if the machine is actually broken. With twins on the way a dryer is very important.

Parts was exactly as described
This was a simple fix. Unplug the unit. Remove the timer knob by pulling it toward you. Remove the three Phillips head screws spaced along the outside very top of the dryer to allow you to remove the control panel to gain access. Tilt the control panel toward you to free it up. Remove the two 1/4" hex head screws in the dryer knob recessed area on the front of the control panel to free the timer unit. Exchange the wires one at a time like for like from the old timer unit to the new one being sure to land them on the same terminals. Reassemble.
