Reviews
Thanks for speedy service.
The parts arrived very quickly and were exactly what I needed to repair the problem. Our washing machine is over 30 years old and has been repaired several times for different problems. Each time the parts fixed the problem. The machine still looks like new and it is comforting to know that you still stock parts for this older machine. Thanks again.

I had a problem when I opened the package.
I purchased a new clutch kit for my broken washer. When I received the part and opened the package there was rust dust in it. I looked closer at the metal clutch housing and there is rust at the bottom of it. Where the pads of the clutch have to ride. Rust is like sandpaper. The metal is compromised on a brand new item. I am including a picture.

Exactly what I needed
This was the exact part I needed to fix the lack of spin cycle issue on my old Series 70 washer. All the parts I needed were included and only took a couple of hours (with some YouTube help) to replace and get back up and running.

Clothes spin dry like the should now!
My wife said the clothes were really heavy and dripping wet after the wash. I had checked and it seemed like the washer was spinning. Turned out that the clutch was slipping and not spinning the tub as fast as it should- especially when it had a heavy load. This fixed it well! Be sure to watch a video on replacement. Not too hard if you have directions to follow.

easy install
sears has been providing great service and products to our family for decades. this installation was super easy when following youtube video instructions. replaced because spin cycle no longer worked. although i don't think the clutch really needed replacing. instead i suspect the culprit for the malfunction was worn teeth on the gear mechanism in the transmission which i replaced and since i had the machine apart i figured i should replace the clutch as well. after breaking down the machine and cleaning it all up the machine runs like new! i did have difficulty getting the drive block off but you don't need to remove that to replace the clutch.
