It was the right part

What can I say. It was the right part and it fit. Took some time but there are videos online for other things that show you the way. The hardest part was the metal rings with springs that hold on the rubber gasket thing. Once I asked for a second set of hands...it came together easily. Got a free washer that was 4 years old. And with this part. I got a $70 washer that is 4 years old. Couldn't be happier!

Not the right part
November 19, 2019

I entered my Sears Kenmore washer model number (Kenmore 41262 4.5cu.ft. Front-Load Washer) and was told this was the part I needed. It's not. It has a huge oval hole in it (where the original was sealed), and it had a plug that was filled in (where the original had a hole with a rubber stop). I had to cut out and epoxy in a stop for the oval hole, and I had to drill out the plug with a 1/2" bit. A real pain since this is a replacement part and the site told me this was the part to order. Once I did this (adding two hours to the job, since I had to make a trip to the store), everything was fine, and it's been running fine since.

Part received fitted even though it was not the correct, it showed a hole from manufacturer in it who allowed water to flow outside tub.
