My mower started right away after replacing part
December 16, 2021

I had to get the spacing between the fly wheel and this part right. Afterward the mower started on the first pull. I used paper to space the magnets and coil. About .01 inch and the fly wheel turned without scraping the coil. Notebook paper .0025 inch , 4 pieces on each arm of coil to set spacing. Tight screws then turn fly wheel to remove paper and check fly wheel turns without scraping. If not add papers one at a time until no scraping.

added new plug and coil and air filter shipped quick. mower starts with half a pull and runs faster.coil was cheaper elsewhere but I alwats trust the sears parts direct sute for fitment.less than an hour to install everything. hard to start before piece of cake now
