Not as sturdy as the rope it replaces
January 20, 2021

The rope that was in my snow thrower was more dense and thick than this replacement. I wonder how long this rope will last. I'll be looking for alternatives when this one breaks.

Just a starter rope
March 31, 2020

So I ordered a new starter rope for my Craftsman leaf vacuum. It was $10. After they added sales tax and shipping, it was $20. When it arrived, there was no handle included, just the rope. So I went to one of the large home improvement stores and bought one, handle included for $5.99. Wow!

Wrong part for too much money
December 01, 2019

Sears sold me a piece of rope which wasn't sufficient as a pull rope for my sears snow blower for $12 plus shipping of $8 for expeditious shipping. After waiting 10 days for a piece of 'proprietary rope' I realized that the gauge or diameter of the rope was too small. I then went to my hardware store and bought a rope for $1.84 and threw away the sears 'replacement part' ie rope. Ultimately sears wasted my time 1 hour I. The store plus 20 days waiting and $20 for the wrong part. No wonder they're going out of business!
