The part researcher worked hard to try to find the right part but I lacked the diagram and parts cross-reference list and so could not provide better information. I have since taken photos which may help solve the puzzle.

Electronic thermocople needed to operate oven
Gas safety valve serving gas to pilot, oven, and burners. Burners operate without thermocouple connected electrically.

First-timer succeeds

I've never replaced a thermocouple, so it took me a while to get the oven apart and figure out how to disconnect/install. After a few minutes I had the new one in and the oven works again. Deducted a star because the thermocouple was longer than necessary and I had to gently loop it to get it inserted in the small space available. Not sure if that's normal or not!
