Right part
I was not sure what cause my problem, so I started with replacing the timer. When it did not help, I tried that switch. And it worked!!! I got this part in 3 days and it took 5 min for me to install it. Saved us at least $600. My wife is so happy. Thank you Sears!

Don't ask for advice
Dryer would only run while I held the start button down. Parts guy said buy start button. I did, same problem. Virtual tech guy walked me through volt meter checks and said buy motor relay switch. I did, had to modify new part to fit, same problem. I spent about $100 on parts and shipping and $40 on virtual tech. I called local tech with 45 years of experience, he said probably main board. They don't make it anymore. I am out $140, and will have to buy a new dryer. Wish I had hired the experienced local tech to start with.

exact replacement, super easy to replace
it took me all of 10 minutes to replace. probably saved me a couple of hundred dollars by doing it myself

Easy install/fix.
I Youtubed the possible causes and began with the starter switch. The switch twists out, then unattach the wires one at a time while attaching one to the new switch (while still on the old one) to be sure they are in the proper places. It did get the dryer to run but after further diagnosis, realize I need support pulleys. I ordered the maintenance repair kit (pulleys, tension pulley & belt). Better than expected. Sears always exceeds my expectations.

Easy to remove and replace after seeing youtube video. Turns out, the old switch was good. Did not need to be replaced.
