installation of brake spring in 1993 lawn tractor
Without the help of you tube I wouldn't have had a clue how the brake on my lawn tractor worked!! With the tire off the instillation of the spring was fairly straight forward. After some adjustments and replacing the tire, voila, the brakes are again functioning after years without!! So glad you had a spring. I purchased my mower, a Craftsman in 1993.

tractor brake return spring
Installing this spring will take time and the right equipment (floor jack and jackstands come in handy). Right rear wheel must be removed.

Easy to install
I got this lawn tractor with the wrong spring on it. After purchasing the correct part it took 15 minutes to install the new spring. After downloading the repair manual I saw that the brake lever was also put on backwards.
