The oven door on our Kenmore Elite flush top electric range would fail to unlock after self cleaning cycle. After replacement of this part, no more problems. I does take some time, removal of many screws and lifting the cooktop out of the way to access the motor. Well worth the time and effort and nominal cost to extend the life of the stove.

Mis leading

The 4 digit error code had 2 solutions. After completing 1st the the second solution, the same error code is displayed. The oven does not function. The Sears online video is completely wrong. The video shows the oven door lock motor mounted in the back, behind the rear panel. I found my door lock motor under the top surface elements, just behind the user control panel on the front of the oven. I have just thrown away $200. AND now I have to buy a new oven not Sears.

Electrolux Oven Door lock motor

Part Looked new and I though it would fix my issue, but it did not after installing it. Was bit of a challenge removing all the parts from the Electrolux range to get to this motor, but installation was easy.

Not that difficult to instal

took me about an hour and a half to install just because you have to be careful when taking the glass stove top off, there are several screws and pieces
