Start motor install
The install of the starter would have been a lot easier if one of the two bolts was not under the fly wheel. I had to use my fingers to screw it in 3/4 of the way before I could use a wrench. But now I am back to mulching the leaves.

Starter Motor
Received the starter a day before posted delivery date. Starter was the exact match. Took old starter off the day before. Put new starter on with a breeze. Took about 30 minutes.

New Starter Motor
I replaced the starter motor on a 20 year old Craftsman lawn tractor. The motor is located in a very tight difficult area to access, however taking a lot of time and a slow process I was able to make the repair.

Organize
Organize all your nuts and bolts. You will need to remove all the engine panels around even opposite side of starter. They all inter-connect. Have patience taking inside starter bolt out. Quick box ratchet does not fit, you will need to turn 1/4 turns with open end. Unless you have a 7 or 8 year old with small fingers. Starter bolt will have lift clearance once unthreaded. Last but not least, put panels on opposite that you removed. All worth it when she cranks right up.

Fits perfectly....takes time to install.
The part fit perfectly. Installation was difficult, but only because of the way the bolts are positioned. Small strong fingers almost necessary....no room to work. I replaced both starter and solenoid...both work fine. Best to replace battery cables at same time. One of mine would only move enough power to click solenoid, but not run starter.
