Special details: In an electric dryer, if the timer advances in the timed dry cycle but not the automatic moisture sensing cycle, unplug the dryer and check continuity through the resistor using a multimeter. The resistor connects to the timer through the orange wire. Replace the resistor (part number 279872) if you measure infinite resistance. If the timer still doesn't advance in the moisture sensing cycle after replacing the resistor, replace timer WP3976580.
