Easy to install
Took about 30 minutes, make sure bearings are orientated right and pedals move freely

If you have worked on bikes stright forward
I had to fab a simple press with a C-clamp to install the outer bearing races, as was expected. It went together very well.

Bearings
I been using my exercise bike for many years. I always kept extra parts-including bearings-just in case they wear out.

Like a typical bicycle bottom bracket replacement
This is a somewhat difficult part to install, but feasible with some experience with non-sealed bicycle bearings and suitable tools. Special tools needed include a cotterless crank puller and a pair of thin 32 mm wrenches for adjusting the lock-nuts. I was fortunate to have these in my bicycle repair tool-kit. The bearing cups are a press-fit into the frame. The old ones were driven out carefully with a large punch and mallet. The new ones were driven in with a rubber mallet. As I disassembled the original bearing, I lined up the old parts in order on a towel, and assembled the new ones in the same order. Remember that the threads on the right end of the shaft are right-handed, and on the left end they are left-handed. When assembling the new bearings, fill them with grease, and adjust the lock-nuts so there is no play in the bearing, and it turns freely.

Needed some knowledge of bike mechanics and tools
Basically the same as changing out the crank assembly of a bicycle. Need a wrench and hammer to install the inner bearing races. But removing the pedal arms requires a puller. The reinstall is much easier.
