Spanner is too small

The spanner is too small and therefore cannot be used on the door hinge. Diagram on website indicates it is the correct part.

This spanner wrench is listed on the parts list for my Kenmore model. When I called they said it is because my refrigerator is more than 5 years old. The one that will fit mine is no linger made.
