This lid gasket (part number 216481001) is for freezers.

Lid gasket 216481001 creates a seal around the lid to prevent warm air from entering the freezer.

Safely store any food that could deteriorate while the lid is open for this repair.

After exchanging the right size gasket, it fit perfectly without having to use heat to stretch the rubber. No problems with install.

Right dimensions but not right gasket

The gasket fit with modifications. The installation holes did not line up. It is easy enough to put new holes in so that is what I did. This did refresh my 1996 model freezer! The attached picture is the first part I bought Part #216480801 the white gasket. It obviously was too small. Part #216481001 is the right size. Since no one online can give you the dimensions I thought this would help future buyers.

White is wrong gasket bought first. Guaranteed fit!

No clips were sent with the gasket. Therefore if you break any taking old gasket out, you have to order a packet of 20 for about $20 more. Waiting on those before we can go on.

Yes it was easy and pretty quick to install. Hardest part was pushing the new snaps in place. About 20 minutes or so.
