My relatively new Whirlpool washing machine central unit gave up after aprox 1 year (just outside the warranty period), so I needed to replace it. I ordered the part at Sears since other stores would charge me 25-50% more and the central unit arrived in about a week. For now I'll wait the washer to give me an error code and after that will change it.

Great part and shipping, not bad installation

The part arrived ahead of the estimated delivery date, and it arrived in great condition. The installation is somewhat complex considering it is a control board, but I didn't find it too difficult. Getting the connectors out of the old board was a pain, and I ended up braking off the plastic triangle pieces of the shield to make it easier. I recommend taking pictures of the wires so you get them in the right place on the new board. The new board was difficult to place into the locked in position on the washer, so I took a wrench and pried it between the board and washer structure and hit the wrench with a hammer. This fixed my F09 error code. Also, I didn't realize that my washer's technician manual was taped under the lid of the washer. This was helpful to find after hours of looking for it online.

Wrong part

Wrong part sent was sent by sears and shipping cost was not returned. Clutch sent rather than board. Mass wasn't even close no quality control.
