The new ice maker was faulty and arrived very dirty. so I clean it up and installed it and quickly discovered the paddle arm was not advancing due to the gears skipping pass each other. I returned it and I am awaiting a replacement. This unit was not inspected prior to delivery

I had to take out 3 (cover) to get at the plug. Loosen 2 and remove 1 screw to take out the ice maker. Then, remove a cover from the bottom and add it to the new ice maker. All of these screws were very hard to reach. The worst part was the new ice maker did NOT have any instructions with it.

Took many hours to installl. With no instructions or a video for the same model refrigerator available anywhere, I spent many, many hours trying to figure the many steps necessary to remove the old ice maker and install the new one.

My icemaker was leaking, a neighbor removed it I ordered another one it came very quickly and the neighbor replaced it. Time to remove about 15 minutes to replce about 15 min. Thanks Sears

It is difficult to reach, for a full-grown adult, unless you remove the entire door. My teenager was able to reach/replace it easily by removing the shelves and drawers only. Easy to install; unfortunately I've had to replace it almost annually. Leaks from the back at the shaft connection.
