The motor was a direct replacement for the old one. The included screws were a plus as the old ones were a bit rusty. The gear teeth meshed easily and only slight pressure was needed to align the holes for the screws.

My Kenmore water softener wasn't working, so I determined that I would try to fix it on my own. As a non-handy person, this was an interesting proposition. But after diagnosing the problem (frozen and cracked housing on the motor gave it away), I ordered this part and fixed my softener. Installation took less than 5 minutes, and I was on my way. Thankful this was available for me and I was able to get it quickly and timely.
