Too bad the original timer only lasted 3 years. This is exactly the same part and I hope it lasts longer. Getting the old one out was very difficult because it is attached with spring clips at top and bottom instead of screws. Because of the angle of the top control panel on the dryer, I found it impossible too get a proper angle grip on the bottom spring clip to release it. One video showed someone actually prying off the entire top control panel of the machine. Ours would not release (massive spring clips again), and the attempt started to scratch the paint on the machine. Finally got someone with stronger hands and longer fingers to get that bottom spring clip on the timer released. After that it was easy enough to finish up. Watch all the Utube videos you can find, including other brands of dryer, to find one that has the same attachment mechanism as yours. don't worry about mixing up the wiring harnesses. A quick look at your new part will show you they can only go one way. the dryer now works like it should, hope it continues to work longer than the original. Had to wait 4 months for delivery.
