Easily installed.

I had no problems installing the electronic control board. It took about 8 minutes total only because I had struggled to remove a couple of wires connected to the ECB. I ended up using a needle nose plyer and it came out real easily. Every thing is back to normal, but I am not sure if it will last since the original one probably failed due to rust build up. We had our softener boxed up and never installed until fall of 2018. Not even 4 years old and original ECB back rusts and display fails. We'll see how long this last. One year warranties are seriously a joke. I'd recommend for ease of installation, but way over priced.

Clear instruction sheet made installation easy and programming instructions were easy to follow. Additional information is available on Sears parts direct for the owners manual user guide. I would recommend extra care be taken to remove wiring connections and reinstall ation on new board as the numerous prongs could be easily damaged. I used a special pair of smaller needle nose pliers to assist in plug removals. Reinstallation of all wiring was simple.

Board easy but when softener valve head cracks....

Installation of board no problem. As soon as water softener repressurized, reason for board failure became clear. Softener valve head had cracked dousing water on board....
