DIY installation - Water Filter Housing

First note it's best to stick with manufacturer water filters. Not sure it was the age of the kenmore fridge or using an after market filter, but it started leaking out the filter housing while changing filters. The housing part we purchased did the trick. Saved us money from buying a new fridge. Took about an hour to install.

Once my husband was able to figure out how to install the housing, it was easy! It was definitely what we needed (thank you Mr. Chat person). Couldn't get the water filter to work. Thought I had the wrong one ?? Based on my conversation with the "Chat Man" he suggested we replace the water filter housing. He placed the order for me, came a couple of days later and once installed, worked like a charm!

Part fits and accepts the filter. However the water flow seems much less than with the original filter housing. Was harder to install than to remove the old one due to a small metal tab in the refrigerator that holds the plastic drip tray. I had to bend that out of the way because there was no other way this housing would go in.
