Washplate W10902814 turns back and forth at the bottom of the spin basket to circulate the wash load through the water.

Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.

It was the right part and it was easy to install. Thanks Sears for having the right part. Thanks Maytag for making is easy to install, but no thanks Maytag for making it expensive, difficult to find, expensive, and difficult to diagnose (I read the entire manual and the three pages of troubleshooting - nothing pointed to this is a possible cause, and many searches online revealed that it is a common failure)

However, it did not resolve my problem and i am i will have to return it for a refund as my motor board is gone and can not be recalibrated. 400$ on top of the 137$ i paid for the plate. Have to buy a new washer. Very dissappointed. My washer is only 9 years old

Remove one bolt and it was out. Splined up new washplate tighted up bolt. Boom done!
