Belt is too large for older snow blower

While I am able to use this belt, it is a bit too large for my auger gears. As a result it will slip off the lower wheel if the control is released too quickly. If you gently release the gear it stays on. Installation wasn't too hard, but required removing both the upper cover and the bottom plate of the blower.
