Installation is about 5 on a scale of 10.
Removing the old control panel was easy. Removing and installing the CPU PCB is more challanging. The ribbon connector from the front touch panel to the PCB is not something you see every day. The white connector has to be pulled up so you can remove the ribbon cable. Likewise when installing the new front panel the connector has to be pulled up, insert the ribbon cable all the way into the connector then push the connector back down into the connector base. The three screw mounting posts holding the PCB on to the front connector need to tapped with a similar sturdy screw prior to using the cheap screws rhat GE used. On a positive note the cost of the part was reasonable and I probably saved $200 by doing it myself. The negative note is this could be avoided if GE used a metal spring instead of cheap plastic fir the timer button.
