The steel teeth on the vertical drive shaft off of the transmission finally wore out the internal plastic mating surface inside the agitator.

Went online and watched how to video; borrowed socket wrench extension from daughter from daughter and was all done in less than an hour. And I'm a 74 year young lady!!! Just be sure you order by model number of your machine to get correct part. did not do that first time, so had to return part and order correct part.

Actually I didn't get to use this agitator. It is installed in the machine that it was intended for, but that machine was set aside during a long wait time after the repair technician said the part was on back order. After about 30 days I simply had to get another machine to keep operating our household. This technician did not work for Sears nor was the part he was required to order going to come from Sears. Although your part did fit, I'm giving it only 3 stars because it isn't near the quality of the broken one.
