Installing New Washer Dispenser Actuator Motor
The washer dispenser actuator motor was very easy to install, with the only hang-up being the cam/lever that attaches to it to move the dispenser through four different settings. A small spring pulls the lever back from setting IV to setting I. Unfortunately, as opposed to the one-piece cam (yellow arrow) shown in the attached pic available on the internet, my washer has a two-piece cam that attaches to the actuator motor. The other piece is a slide that connects to the return spring, but that slide was getting jammed in the motor rotor (blue arrow) and the spring wouldn't return it to the "I" position. I had to solve the problem by putting a 1/16" thick nylon washer beneath the cam to raise the slide up slightly. Just a note to those with that two-piece actuator arm. Only other issue was that the shipping option chosen indicated a delivery date of 2/19, which gave a generous eight days from the time of order. BUT, Sears chose a "postal delivery" option which meant that the package was passed off to the USPS on 2/19, NOT delivered to my home. That meant the package actually didn't get to my home via the USPS until late on 2/20. IMHO, it is a bit misleading to claim a delivery date of 2/19 in the order when, by having UPS pass the package off to the postal service, the time of final delivery can become a big unknown, dependent on the USPS delivery schedule.
