The exact part I needed
August 10, 2021

Once one watched the instructional video, helpfully provided by Sears, which I heartily recommend one do before installation, and with the assistance of a friend, one of us working on the back and the other on the front of the laundry center, the belt was properly installed and the dryer working again in under 30 minutes. Thankyou!

Replace drum belt and drum bearing.
September 23, 2019

Tools: Use of electric drill with phillips bit will speed up the process. Plastic tape such as used to wrap packages ill help to hold parts in place. This is a dryer on top of washer. First: unplug the power cord - and position the appliance so you have access to the back. 2nd - remove the cover plate to gain access to the drive motor and idler pulley. 3rd. - remove the screws on the top panel and set panel aside. 4th - Remove front lower panel ( just under dryer ) and the second panel under the front panel ( make sure you collect all the screws in a cup or magnetic parts dish. ) Now you have access to the screws holding the control panel - remove them. 5th push up on the control panel so the plastic holders release from their holes (left and right ) ' 6. tape the dryer door shut and remove the door with its panel - unplug the wire connector and set it aside. Note: there is a plastic blower cone which goes from the blower motor to the underside of the dryer door. Make note of how it goes so you can put it back the same way it came out. 7 Lift the drum ( in the rear ) so it clears the bearing and remove it ( set it aside ) 8. Remove 2 screws holding the bearing and remove the bearing. Note: there is a threaded screw plate in the rear - it will likely fall off when you take the screws out - put it back in place and hold it with tape. Now go back and put the new bearing in with the same screws you took out. O.K. Take a 5 minute break. Now you are ready to reverse the process. Before you place the drum on the new bearing, PUT the new belt around the drum. 9. Reverse the process you used to take the drum out. 10 You will have to place the dryer belt on the motor pully and use the idler tension pully to take the slack out. 11. Continue the reverse of above to reassemble.
