Additional Information
The AEQ73110203 Ice Maker Assembly is an essential component for your LG refrigerator, ensuring a steady supply of ice cubes. When replacing the ice maker, make sure to switch off the refrigerator and disconnect the power supply. This part can typically resolve issues such as ice makers that no longer produce ice, produce very little ice, or leak water into the ice bin due to internal component failure. Installation might include mounting the new assembly with screws, connecting the wire harness, and securing the water supply line. It's vital to ensure that the water line is free from kinks or leaks for the ice maker to function correctly. After installation, it is recommended to monitor the first few batches of ice to ensure the unit is operating as expected.

Not A Match
Website said the unit was a match for my fridge model number - but it is ever so slightly different. Had to return and order the correct part.... just inconvenient.

Needs to be returned
Part arrived in a damaged box, but the part appeared to be undamaged. Insatlled the ice maker and it produces ice with plastic shavings in it. The ice is unusable.

Buy the part and replace it yourself
Before you pay to have a technician diagnose your icemaker, replace it on your own first. My tech in 10- 15 minutes told me that they only last about 3 years, and he quoted me $500 + dollars. After $140.00 labor charge + tax $155.00 to diagnose. I believe to my understanding, tax should not be charged AZ for Labor, with no material used.. Instead of paying $500.00 + I paid $155.00 labor + 187.01 for part to replace myself, $342.01, vs I believe he said $550.00, so I saved $207.99. Next time if my Sears Kenmore Elite ice maker breaks, and is worth replacing, I will replace it myself, spend $!87.01, or best price and part, and save at least < $362.99> Sears pars direct had the best parts price.

Kenmore in-door ice maker replacement
The gears in the ice maker motor that twists the ice tray to expel the ice cubes was clicking loudly as the gear slipped. I ordered the replacement ice maker, and it arrived quickly and packed correctly. I unplugged the refrigerator. I carefully removed the old broken ice maker and underneath shroud, making notes of locations of all the fasteners, sensors, connectors and wiring. The temp sensor is behind the black foam tape at the top back of the ice maker, peal it back just enough to remove the sensor. All the wires on the back are taped down, so pull up the tape to access the wires. Keep all the old fasteners to use with the new ice maker. I then installed the old shroud and new ice maker, in reverse order of the removal of the old one. I plugged in the refrigerator. It will take up to 24 hours before the ice maker starts making ice, as it has to reach a certain temperature. It works great now!
