Easy to Install
The new trans has the updated shield kit installed to keep debris out from under the variator. You need a 1/4-20 lock nut for the control rod and its not included. The old version used a small clip washer. Install was simple. 6 bolts hold it in and they are easy to access.

Bad transmissions
This is my 5th transmission I've put in my mower in 5 years. The last one was replaced in May 2021. I have no choice, but to replace it or spend $2400 for a new mower. The RS800 transmissions are nothing but junk. After 6 months to a year they won't shift from forward to reverse. On the plus side this is the best price I've had for a replacement transmission.

Perfect
I had the older version and was concerned it may not fit. This one went right in, the only exception was where the drive pedal rod connects to is now threaded, so I had to get a nut instead. Fast and easy replacement. Excellent price
