Installation of Kenmore dishwasher seal
The removal of the old seal was simple, and installing the new seal was easy. Once I pulled out the dishwasher a few inches, the install was easy.

Terrible Part
Part didn't fit - it was different design from original and too short even though website said it would fit my model dishwasher. Seal was very inflexible and had been bent into a pretzel to squeeze into a too small shipping envelope which left permanent kinks.

Diagram numbering - ordering info inconsistent
Wanted new door seal for Kenmore Elite dishwasher model 66512773K311 which the tub and frame parts diagram clearly labels #3. In the ordering info area below drawing, the item identified as #3 on the tub and frame parts diagram is described as dishwasher tub gasket, with a photo of the item. That item (which I ordered and received) is actually the part labelled #6 in the diagram. I probably should have snapped to that from the photo but instead relied on the text claiming it was the item shown as #3. I went ahead and installed it just fine, but still had to order the item said to be #6 (dishwasher door seal) which is what was needed originally. The terms "door seal" and "tub gasket" are not consistent with the tub and frame parts diagram so place your order based on the part photo rather than the description.

Ordered wrong part
I meant to order W11177741 Dishwasher Door Seal, but the diagram of parts isn't clear enough to distinguish this difference and so it wasn't until the order was received I realized my error. The description of the gasket part should call out the seal part and explain its purpose to alert customers who may be searching for it. The part name gasket vs seal have similar nomenclature.

Not the correct part
We selected the model and looked at the picture of the part when ordering. It is difficult to determine from a picture if it is the correct part so we ordered it to try it out. It is definitely not the correct part.

Totally unuseable,
The gasket had been coiled up for so long that it can no longer be straightened out to fin in the grooves on the dishwasher. Very Disappointing.
