Shouldn't have to replace these lid locks

It's ridiculous that consumers must incur the expense and time to replace lid locks. They should become an option on machines. Not all of us need a child proof lock on laundry. Sears sent the wrong part, I had to wait a total of 3weeks to finally receive both parts needed to replace the lid lock on my Maytag Centennial. They've asked to me to send back the computer board they sent me in error and 'say' they will credit my money back for the lid lock I've waited for weeks to receive. Let's hope they will keep their word.
