It is the right part number cited in the manual for our refrigerator but does not fit. We will be sending it back.

No the container's bottom was completely different

I ordered this ice container which was exactly the same as the old one except the bottom configuration was different. Would not fit on refrigerator. I sent the container back last week. My refrigerator model number is 106.56533400. When I look it up now it says the product is no longer made.
