nd or 5E indicates that the washer failed to drain within 15 minutes after the drain pump began running the drain portion of the cycle. Check the washer drain path for a clog or restriction. Clear the large item filter in the drain pump. If the drain pump doesn't drain the water when activated and the drain path is clear, replace the drain pump. LO appears when the washer door won't unlock. Unplug the washer and open the door, using force if needed (using force often damages the door lock/switch assembly). Replace the assembly if it’s damaged or defective.
nF or 4E codes mean that the washer isn't filling with water. Make sure the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open. Check the water fill lines for kinks and freezing. Check the water inlet valves. If the valves don't allow water to flow when they're activated, replace the water inlet valve assembly.
E2 or bE2 indicates that a button on the control panel is stuck. Try to free the stuck button. Press down directly on top of all buttons on the control panel. If that tactic doesn't free the stuck button, press down slightly off-center on all keys. If you can't free the stuck button, you'll likely need to replace the display control board.
Frequently replaced parts in Samsung washers
Door lock assembly. The door lock assembly on a front-load washer locks the washer door to prevent the door from opening during the cycle. The door lock assembly includes door latch that fits into the lock and a switch that signals to the control system whether the washer door is closed or open.
Drain pump. The drain pump removes water from the washer during the drain portion of the wash cycle.
Drive motor. The washer's drive motor provides the force to rotate the spin basket. It also drives the shaft of the gear case to move the agitator in a top-load washer. It's either coupled to a drive pulley with a belt or is directly attached to the motor drive shaft. If the motor windings fail or the bearings on the motor lock up, the motor won't run.
Main electronic control board. The main electronic control board, also called the mother board, governs the timing and execution of the washer component functions. It controls the fill valves, the drive motor and the drain pump. Replace the main electronic control board if it's getting 120 -volt power but doesn't operate or if it isn't properly controlling the functions it governs.
