Voltage supply problem
Unplug the dryer and measure the voltage supply at the wall outlet using a multimeter. If the voltage isn't between 208 and 240 VAC, have an electrician repair the problem.
Condensate drain pump failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness between the condensate drain pump and the main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, check the pump and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain path is clear, replace the condensate drain pump. If the problem continues, replace the main electronic control board.
Humidity sensor failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness between the humidity sensor and the main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. Check the humidity sensor and replace it if damaged. If the wire harness connections and humidity sensor are okay, replace the main electronic control board.
Door open
The main electronic control board detects whether the door is open. Close the door if it's open. If the door is closed, unplug the dryer and check the wire harness between the door switch and the main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the door switch. If the problem continues, replace the main electronic control board.
Drive motor failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main electronic control board and the drive motor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the main electronic control board. If the problem continues, replace the drive motor.
Drive motor thermal cut-out tripped
The thermal cutout trips when the drive motor overheats. Overloading the dryer can cause the motor to overheat. Remove some of the load if too large or heavy. Allow the motor time to cool off and restart the dryer. If the dryer isn't overloaded, unplug the dryer and remove the load. Spin the drum by hand to check for drive system friction. If you detect excessive friction, check all drive components and replace any damaged parts.
Motor sensing circuit error
The main electronic control board detects an internal error in its motor circuit. Unplug the dryer and replace the main control board.
Jammed drive motor
Overloading can prevent the motor from running. Remove some of the load if too large or heavy. If the dryer isn't overloaded, unplug it and remove the load. Spin the drum by hand to check for drive system friction. If you detect excessive friction, check all drive components and replace any damaged parts.
Inverter board is drawing excessive current
The inverter board supplies run voltage to the drive motor. Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the inverter board and the drive motor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the drive motor.
No drive motor tachometer signal
The inverter board supplies run voltage to the drive motor. Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the inverter board and the drive motor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the drive motor because the tachometer is a component of the drive motor and isn't available as a separate part.
Overheated inverter board
This error can be caused by continuous dryer operation in hot ambient conditions. Allow the dryer to cool and then try to restart the dryer. If the code appears under normal operation and conditions, unplug the dryer and replace the inverter board.
Motor voltage is too low (below 100 volts)
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and inverter board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the inverter board.
Voltage supply is too high (above 240 volts)
Unplug the dryer and check the voltage supply using a multimeter. Supply voltage shouldn't exceed 240 volts. Contact your electric company is supply voltage is too high. If supply voltage is okay, you'll usually need to replace the inverter board.
Communication error between the inverter board and the main electronic control board
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main electronic control board and the inverter board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. A faulty line filter can also cause this error code. The line filter eliminates interference from the power supply. Check the wire harness connections between the line filter and the main electronic control board. If all wiring connections are okay, you may need to replace the line filter, main electronic control board or the inverter board.
Inverter board failed to start the drive motor
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between main control board and the inverter board. Reconnect any loose wires and replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire connections are okay, replace the inverter board. If the problem continues, replace the main electronic control board.
Shorted compressor
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and compressor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, you'll probably need to have the compressor replaced. A service technician should do this repair because it involves recovering and recharging refrigerant in the sealed refrigerant system.
Compressor not operating
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and compressor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, you'll probably need to have the compressor replaced. A service technician should do this repair because it involves recovering and recharging refrigerant in the sealed refrigerant system.
Compressor sensor circuit failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main control board and compressor. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, you'll probably need to replace the main electronic control board.
Temperature sensor failure
Unplug the dryer and measure the resistance of the temperature sensor using a multimeter. You should measure about 5,000 ohms of resistance at 77 degrees. If not then replace the temperature sensor because it's defective. If resistance is okay, check the wire harness connections between the temperature sensor and the main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay then you'll usually need to replace the main electronic control board.
Main control board failure
Unplug the dryer and replace the main electronic control board.
User interface communication failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the user interface and main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the user interface board. If the problem continues, replace the main electronic control board.
User interface is incompatible with the main electronic control board
This code appears when you replace the user interface or the main electronic control board using the wrong part. Use your dryer model number to check the part number and install the compatible part.
One or more user interface buttons don't work
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the user interface and the main electronic control board. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if defective. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the user interface.
Incoming power supply frequency out of limits
Unplug the dryer. Have your local electrical power service provider check the power supply frequency. If it's normal and the code doesn't clear, replace the main electronic control board.
Power supply voltage too high (above 130 VAC)
Unplug the dryer and check the outlet voltage using a multimeter. If the voltage is high, have an electrician repair the voltage supply problem. If the voltage is normal, replace the main electronic control board.
Power supply voltage too low (below 100 VAC)
Unplug the dryer and check the outlet voltage using a multimeter. If the voltage is low, have an electrician repair the voltage supply problem. If the voltage is normal, replace the main electronic control board.
Main electronic control board failure
Unplug the dryer and check the wire harness connections between the main electronic control board and the user interface. Reconnect any loose wires or replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are okay, replace the main electronic control board.
