Quick shipping for pricey part.
It's a piece of brushed chrome pipe with two lousy plastic brackets. It probably costs $10-15 to manufacture, but GE charges $100 to replace it. GE has a nice little racket going. The Slate appliances look like a million bucks when you buy them, but then you realize that all of the handles and hardware are cheap, poorly made garbage and start to go bad in two to three years. I have peeling chrome veneer on my microwave handle, cracks in the plastic microwave door, stained control panels that can't be cleaned, you name it. The good news is that Sears ships the replacement parts for these junk appliances really quickly. You'd ship them quickly too if you were making an exorbitant markup on a pipe with a plastic piece at each end. It's also easy to install too. I guess that's a plus. I'm just doing this review because Sears is going to send me an email every day for the rest of my life if I don't.

Perfect match and fit!
Very easy to install. Out with the old and in with the new in about 10 minutes. Only negative was that the handle included new set screws, which was not made clear in the description. Thus, I bought additional new screws. No biggie, as they were less then $5. Will save for another project. Overall, very pleased.
