Simple Fix, But Expensive!

After 14 years, the diaphragms in my Craftsman trimmer were all stretched out, meaning the engine would run on choked idle, and that was all. Really all I needed was a simple carb kit, but it is not available. So, I paid 20 times more for a complete carburetor. Yes, it was simple. Yes, it worked great. But, I carb kit should be available. Since I do a lot of trimming I usually own two trimmers. My 30-year old Ryan died for lack of replacement parts, so I replaced it with a Husqvarna. No more Craftsman tools until complete parts support reappears.

Correct model but not satisfactory

First, after ordering I found the part online at a much lower price. Secondly, engine had a hesitation when throttle was opened. Cleaned my old carb and reinstalled it.

Bad Carburetor

Did not work ...Weed Wacker would not start at all with new carb. I put the old one on and it started but needed the choke full on or it would stop running as it did before. So I broke both carbs down and mixed and matched different segments of both carbs and got it to run as it should.
