Easy, but Time-consuming
December 01, 2019

Having to remove several screws from the inside metal door panel was time-consuming. However, removal of the old panel and install of the new one was easy -- and the dishwasher door does not have to be removed for installation. Unplug the dishwasher before install. After removing the surrounding screws from the metal door panel, lift off the panel and set aside. Save all of the old screws. Unplug the wire connectors from the plastic control panel. Switch the panels and plug in the connectors to the new panel. Make sure the new panel is aligned to horizonally with the top and both ends of the door. Be careful not to break any of the plastic tabs when fitting the panel. Reinstall all of the removed screws on the metal door panel. Do not overtighten the screws, to avoid stripping the threads. Plug in the dishwasher, close the door and touch each button separately to make sure all of the function lights are working. I performed a test using a normal wash, which is the shortest cycle on our dishwasher. No problems, after 2 weeks of use.
