It would have been an easy fix!

I replaced one of the relays before (for the motor) and it kept my machine going for several more years. This time the relay was for the heater cycle, but unfortunately, the relay wasn't the issue. It needed a new micro computer board which is not available for sale anymore. I returned the relay.

Dryer Heater Relay

The old one had shorted, and this new relay does the job just fine. The heater now switches off again. It's a piece of cake to install, four wires and two screws, once you have the control panel loosened.

Dryer would only run when start button was held down. Ordered new motor relay. Followed instructions from YouTube video and changed the part in just a few minutes and it was fixed.

Wrong Part and could not get support from Techinic

I still cannot believe Sears can not offer a paid support option for those that are not in your service area. I am too remote and sears will not come out. I still have a non working gas dryer.
