Most folks think it's usually the "guys" who repair appliances... but my dad was a mechanic for 50 yrs. and taught us girls as well as our brother to "fix" things. (I had to laugh at the "example": "It was quick to install and easy to fix" . NOT! This was the two thermal cutoff switches on an electric clothes dryer. They are NOT easy to install; they were buried deep in the bottom of the dryer with tiny screws and very limited access. And then I dropped one of the screws into the bottom of the drier and could not find it, so had to scrounge around to get another. But with the help of a YouTube video (bless them!) I did get it done after an hour plus and lots of aches in my poor old body. The parts arrived three days after ordering (for a $40 shipping fee on a $40 parts order) and the order was accurate. All told, the dryer works now and probably got it done faster and cheaper than calling a repair guy. Would I do it again? Maybe/maybe not - hope I don't have the chance to decide!

It's simple to restore heating by replacing these parts. Remember that the fuse blows for a reason, don't just replace the fuse. I bought the temp control part locally as it was backordered on partsdirect.
