Right part, Right price!
The new drum was a perfect fit and went together smoothly (unlike removing the original drum). I had to prop up the old tub half and and hit the shaft of the tub with a sledge hammer to get it out. After replacing the bearings on the tub the new drum went right into place with little effort.

Makes washer like new
The old spin basket was seized onto the bearing, so it couldn't transfer into replacement rear tub with the assembled replacement bearing. Consequently, buying a replacement spin basket doubled the cost of ÒsimpleÓ bearing replacement (second time for this machine), but total cost of under $500 should extend life of the machine another 7 years. At least the Sears Parts Direct source had an affordable price on this itemÑother sources are nearly 3x the price. I don't expect to repeat the ÒsimpleÓ bearing replacement again; after approximately 22 years it will likely be time to replace both washer and dryer. The bearing is definitely the weak link in an otherwise well designed LG front load washer. Shameful.

Easy spider replacement
Great replacement for my LG washer, had to buy this as could not easily separate the spider from the inner tube.

Waitting for parts is a pain in my ears....
Replacing the drum and bearings. Watch a YouTube video then jump right in it was fun.... but my mechanic level is very high.... so first timers watch the video on a laptop next to you as you do the job... its very satisfying doing the repair yourself........
