Special details: To verify you need to replace motor W10836348, unplug the washer and check resistance through the motor windings using a multimeter. The motor should measure between 3.5 to 6 ohms through both the clockwise and counterclockwise windings. Replace the drive motor if the meter measures infinite resistance through either winding.

Installation a Breeze

Motor mounted with only two bolts. Motor was perfect fit. Washing machine performing better with new motor. Make sure you have towels etc. to catch any remaining water that is in the tub.

The motor was quite easy to install, and the old one to remove. Very helpful videos on the Sears site. But it didn't correct the problem. . . Solenoid??

Part worked fine. Only issue is it seemed to be packed sort of rough. Protective packaging was ok, but the electrical component was cracked. The housing bent. Still connected to the washer fine and it works.
